Most states in Nigeria have announced full reopening Schools across their states, some of the states will be listed here at the end of this article. Schools in Nigeria have been shutdown since March 23^rd 2020 across the Federation. Now most of State Governors has announced Schools resumption date. See more details under.

When will Schools Reopen in Nigeria

When will Schools reopen is nice question many people across the World that experienced 2020 Corona virus Pandemic will ask. Many countries across the World has shutdown Schools due to Corona Virus Pandemic while some schools in most of the Countries that experienced less Corona virus Pandemic has reopen their academic activities.

Here in Nigeria, there are State Governors that announced School Resumption date while some states are yet to announce schools reopening.

However, following the decreasing rates of infection of the corona virus in the country, the federal government of Nigeria announced that all schools across the country can now resume academic activities in phases.

In line with the announcement made by the federal government of Nigeria, some states Governors across the country have announced reopening dates for tertiary institution in their State.

States in Nigeria that has announced School Resumption Dates

The following are States out of the 36 states in the country that has announced resumption dates for tertiary institution.

1. Akwa Ibom State: The Akwa Ibom State government has announced September 21st 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state.
2. Benue State: Benue State government has also announced September 21st 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution.
3. Borno State: Borno State announced some weeks ago that tertiary schools in the state will be resuming academic activities on September 14th 2020.
4. Kogi state – Kogi state University is already in session, and Schools under ASUU will not be allowed to resume academic activities with the resumption dates listed above.
5. Oyo State – The Oyo State government has announced September 28, 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state
6. Plateau State – The Plateau State government has announced November 2, 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state
7. Osun State – The Osun State government has announced September 21st 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state
8. Ebony State – The Ebony State government has announced October 5, 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state
9. Ondo State – The Ondo State government has announced November 2, 2020 as the official resumption dates for tertiary institution across the state
