About the US -MEPI Student Leaders Program 2024/2025
Sponsored by the Department of State’s U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program offers undergraduate and graduate scholarships for accomplished students from socioeconomically underserved backgrounds who represent the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s cultural, religious, and geographic diversity.
Eligibility/Requirements for US -MEPI Student Leaders Program 2024/2025
Applicants must be citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, or Yemen.
U.S. citizens and U.S. legal permanent residents are not eligible to apply.
Undergraduate and graduate applicants must also meet the following requirements:
Undergraduates Requirements for US -MEPI Student Leaders Program 2024/2025
- Current high school senior or 2022-2023 graduate.
- For applicants from Yemen, Syria, Libya, and Iraq, we also accept applications from those who graduated high school in 2021 or 2022. Applicants who graduated in 2020 or earlier are not eligible to apply.
- Current high school seniors must maintain their high academic achievement and pass their leaving exam.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English. Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80, received within two years of admission date (September 2024).
- Demonstrate financial need. Applicants should be underrepresented or economically deserving students and complete the Tomorrow’s Leaders Application Financial Statement.
- Ability to travel and start their undergraduate program in August/September of 2024.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.
Graduates Requirements for US -MEPI Student Leaders Program 2024/2025
- Evidence of academic English proficiency as required by the relevant graduate program.
- Commit to completing their master’s degree within two academic years.
- Demonstrate financial need. Applicants should be underrepresented or economically deserving students and complete the Tomorrow’s Leaders Application Financial Statement.
- Ability to travel and start their undergraduate program in August/September of 2024.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.
