How does the Conditional Cash Transfers Programme Identify the Poor and Vulnerable
These is exactly how it works!
- The Scheme in Collaboration with World Bank uses a model known as the Community Based Targeting.
- Community Based Targeting is a model where members of an indigent Community identify what poverty means to them and who the Community considers the poorest households among them.
- The National Social Safety Nets Coordination office has over the years built up a National register of the poorest households using this method.
- It is from this National Social Register of poor and vulnerable households that the Conditional Cash Transfers Office Makes Payments to the Poorest Households in the Country.
