Brief about the Program

The CBSA’s Border Services Officer Trainee Program allows candidates to apply for future vacancies. This means that applicants are not applying for a specific job, but are entering an inventory of potential candidates for upcoming positions. When a position becomes available, the CBSA will contact qualified applicants for further assessment.

Application Process

• Submission: Applicants submit their applications to the CBSA system.
• Inventory: Applications are kept in the CBSA inventory for three months.
• Notification: Applicants are notified before their application expires.
• Reapplication: Those already being evaluated for another CBSA program do not need to reapply. Others must reapply if not contacted yet.
