Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Basic Studies Programme of the University of Port Harcourt for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Admission Requirements for 2023/2024 Basic Studies Programme
Candidates must possess WASSC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level with credit passes in at least 5 relevant subjects in not more than two sittings to be admitted into year one after the program.See the Table below for further details.

- The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

- Online application will commence from Tuesday, August 8, 2023

- Registration of successful candidates will be announced in due course.
Method of Application for Uniport 2023/2024 Basic Studies Programme
Application is online, Logon to www.uniport.edu.ng
And follow the instructions;
- a fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000.00),excluding Bank charges is required. Payment can be made at designated Banks nationwide.
- The name on the candidates’ O’Level Certificates must be the same as what is filled online.Any false information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.
- All applicants must have personal and functional phone number and email address for further communication from the School and should visit the University website regularly.

At the end of the programme, successful candidates require the national minimum score in the 2024 unified tertiary matriculation examination (utme) and must have chosen uniport as first choice to transit to year 1.
