Ottawa Public Health on Wednesday reported two new deaths from COVID-19 as well as 149 new cases during the past week. The data was pulled on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Alberta pharmacists having to cancel COVID-19 vaccination appointments amid early supply crunch
Less than two days into Alberta’s latest COVID-19 vaccination rollout, some Alberta pharmacists say they have had to cancel appointments after running out of supply, though the situation is expected to improve in the coming weeks.
Vaccinations opened for booking on Oct. 10 and shots began being administered Monday.
Calgary pharmacist Randy Howden told Postmedia he was down to 21 doses of vaccine as of Tuesday morning and had to cancel appointments later in the day. Read more here.
In a related development, Health officials are issuing cautions on both sides of the Ottawa River after confirming that two Outaouais residents were infected with measles when they returned to Canada from a trip to Europe.
The two individuals were contagious when they travelled on a flight from Brussels to Montreal last week.
